The Nina Gervase Show

This podcast is for women who know they’re meant for more—and are ready to stop waiting and start creating it.

We cut the fluff and get straight into mindset, personal growth, and intentional action. Real talk about building confidence, independence, abundance, and self-trust—without excuses and without sugarcoating.

You are the writer, director, and producer of your life. Your thoughts shape the story. Your decisions set the direction. Your daily choices create momentum.

Each episode challenges how you think, how you speak to yourself, and how you show up—because real change starts internally and is proven through action. It’s time to take ownership, get clear, and move forward boldly.

If you’re ready to think bigger, take control, and start building the life you know is possible—you’re in the right place.

Let’s go!

I believe giving back should be about more than writing a check.
In this episode, I’m sharing five local organizations I genuinely give a damn about: Guardian Heals, Neuse River Golden Rescue (Gears for Goldens), Angels Among Us at the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, Taylor Family YMCA, and The Carying Place.
Yes, I donate financially—but I also believe our time, our voices, our connections, and our willingness to actually get involved can be just as valuable. These organizations are making a real impact right here in our community, and I hope this episode inspires you to find a cause you care about and become part of the work.
I’ve included links below so you can learn more, donate, volunteer, or find another way to get involved. You don’t have to change the whole world. Sometimes you just have to start in your own backyard.

Maybe you're like me and you like people watching. Except for me, it's so much more than just watching. It's deep observation — and somehow, it gives me an even deeper appreciation for life.
In today's episode, I reflect on how the things I observe during my morning walks have impacted the way I see life, and I hope it changes the way you see things on your next walk too.
There is so much beauty happening in the life around us... I hope you don't miss it — or the impact simply noticing it can have on your own life.
Share this with a friend who also loves to people watch. It might just change the way they see things too!

Y’all, I cannot make this stuff up.
Three times over the past few weeks, a turkey buzzard flew across my path so low I thought I was going to hit it with my car.
And then the damn thing stopped… and looked at me.
Three different times.
Coincidence? Maybe.
But when I started looking at what was happening in my life each time it showed up, things got a little weird.
There was a pattern I hadn’t noticed before — and once I saw it, I couldn’t unsee it.
This episode is about the signs we miss, the shifts happening underneath the surface, and what can happen when you actually start paying attention to the woman you’re becoming.
And yes… we’re talking about the buzzard.
Listen to the episode, then download my FREE journaling prompts from my website and spend a little time looking at what might be shifting in your own life.

Babe… I get it. I’ve done it too.
I tell myself I’m going for it. I “do” all the things that make it look like I’m going for it. And yet, somewhere underneath all of that, there’s still this little tinge of fear keeping one foot on the brake.
And half the time, I don’t even realize I’m doing it to myself.
But that foot on the brake is exactly what keeps us from going all in.
So in this episode, we’re getting really honest about the thoughts, fears and behaviors that may be quietly holding us back—so we can uncover them, release them, and finally move forward the way we know we’re capable of.
So my friend, grab that journal and get honest: Where are you still keeping one foot on the brake? Find it. Call it out. Rewrite the story. Then go ALL IN!

What if you stopped using your imagination to build up everyone else’s life… and started using it to build your own?
We create these incredible stories about other women—their success, money, confidence, careers, lives—while telling ourselves all the reasons we can’t have the same things. In this episode, I’m challenging you to flip that.
Use your imagination for you. See the life YOU want. Start thinking, speaking, and showing up like the woman who is already creating it. Stop giving your power away and start using it to create what’s next.
Send this to a friend who needs to stop imagining for others and instead start for herself!

We all know about the build season, the run season, the scale season, and all the others. But how many of us actually acknowledge the pivot season? It’s a pretty significant season that often gets overlooked.
A pivot could mean changing careers, changing the trajectory of a goal within the same career, or simply moving from a career season into a true season of rest.
Pivot season requires patience, learning, grace, and a willingness to pause. And it deserves far more awareness than we tend to give it.
What season are you currently in? Have you ever given much thought to your pivot season? Recognizing it could seriously help you understand your journey a little better.
Ready to level up? Grab my free journaling prompts below. Journaling changed my mindset and my life in a major way. I’ve doubled my income many times by using it to shift my energy and step into my future self—and it could do the same for you.
And send this to a friend that is in a pivot season but didn't see it for all it's glory!

Big emotions are part of life. Grief. Fear. Anxiety. Guilt. Joy. They all deserve to be acknowledged—not pushed aside or ignored.
In this episode, I'm sharing one of the biggest mindset shifts I've ever had after my husband was given six months to live. It's the lesson that changed how I approach difficult seasons, life's biggest celebrations, and everything in between.
You don't have to deny your emotions. In fact, I believe you should fully experience them. But there's a difference between feeling them and living in them. Giving yourself permission to have a "Feels Day" doesn't mean you're giving up—it means you're honoring where you are so you can find the strength to keep moving forward.
If you're carrying a lot right now or facing a season of uncertainty, I hope this episode reminds you that it's okay to feel every emotion that comes your way... and then take the next step forward.

What happens when you’ve spent years making accommodations, supporting everyone else, and building a life that looks successful… but somewhere along the way, you stop recognizing yourself?
In this episode, I’m joined by Dr. Heidi Koch — aesthetic medicine physician, speaker, and the woman behind Reclaim Your Reflection — for a powerful conversation about identity, reinvention, limiting beliefs, and the courage it takes to pursue what is still calling you.
Heidi shares how her divorce became a turning point that led her to pause, reflect, and begin reconnecting with who she really was and what she wanted her life to look like. We talk about career pivots, fear, the beliefs we accidentally carry for years, and why so many women need to stop long enough to ask: Who am I now, and what do I actually want?
If you’ve been feeling the pull toward something more but fear, judgment, or old beliefs keep getting loud, this conversation will remind you that you are allowed to pivot, reclaim yourself, and keep going.

Be honest… are you really confused about your next step, or are you avoiding the decision?
Because asking everyone for opinions, reading another book, listening to another podcast, and downloading one more freebie to help you “decide” may actually just be procrastination dressed up as preparation.
In this episode, we’re talking about how to stop stalling, connect to the woman you say you want to become, and finally take action toward the life, career, or business you know you’re capable of creating.

I’ve been doing an audit of my life lately, and I want to share something that’s been heavy on my heart.
Y’all know I am ambitious. I’m a strong, independent woman, and I will always encourage other women to find their audacity, chase what they want, and create a life that feels powerful and free.
But today’s episode is about something just as important: not missing the real moments while we’re pursuing our goals.
This exact moment in your life will only happen once. Miss it, and it’s gone.
So in this short episode, I’m encouraging you to pause. To audit where you need more breathing room. To enjoy the scenery. To create the moments before they pass you by… while still going for the goal.
I hope this one speaks to you, and I hope you share it with someone who needs the reminder.
It’s a short and beautiful life. Don’t forget to pause long enough to actually live it.
